Navigate for
11 days and challenge the unexplored, incredible and mystical Tambopata River
trough the rain forest located in a Natural Refuge and National Forest Tambopata
with abundant wild life, flora and fauna unique on the planet and with
different ecosystems along your journey. One of the last pristine places in the
world located in the Amazon rain forest only accessible by running the river,
rafting the river. Great hikes and explorations of the cloud forest, rain
forest plus the macaw lick and hikes around the Collpa or Clay wall.Camp along
the river with amazing views and tranquil waters. Watch beautiful and
spectacular sunset and sunrise, Relax with diurnal and nocturnal sounds of the
rain forest and hike in to the heart of the forest. Raft, paddle and take the
challenge on class I, II, III, IV rapids with great difficulty, level and
volume, besides the scenery. On the way to the river we will stop and explore
the remote inslands and native people from Quechua, Aymara and Qollas
ethnicities and nations through our journey to the Islands of Titicaca Lake for
two days before the river expedition.
The TNR protects habitats ranging from the Andean highlands around the rivers’ headwaters through some of the last remaining intact cloud forests to the lowland rainforests of the Amazon basin. Over 1,300 bird species (including 32 parrot species – 10% of the world’s total), 200 mammal species, 90 frog species, 1,200 butterfly species and 10,000 species of higher plants are protected within this reserve. Enjoy one of the most spectaculars Amazon Rivers with high biodiversity including a visit to the Macaw Lick to sight an enormous array of macaws, parrots and parakeets.
